November Think Tank: Enrollment Numbers Wake Up Call

With Guests: Dr. Gage Paine and Cory Davis

Campus enrollment numbers aren’t as rosy as predicted in September. National Clearinghouse data is showing that overall enrollment is down, with state colleges, community colleges and less competitive private colleges getting the brunt of the downturn. With Colgate University, Smith College and other elites removing student loans from student financial aid packages, what will that mean for students and campus enrollment modeling.

The Monthly Office Hours Think Tank show featured commentary from Dr. Gage Paine of Gage Paine consulting and Cory Davis. A great deal to consider as we are setting our enrollment goals for the future. Will less competitive campuses be able to continue to meet the enrollment challenge while admitting a class that will persist and graduate?

This week’s episode:
Long Covid & Disability Services

According to a study from Penn State University, over half of the people who have contracted COVID 19 will suffer from Long Covid - symptoms include fatigue, neurological issues, lung abnormalities and what some are calling “foggy Covid brain.”  Recently, a workbook of recommendations for serving these students has been published. The workbook aims to provide guidance to Disability services and health professionals on serving this population. Join me and returning guest, Beth Grampetro, an expert in college health and wellness services as well as Lorre Wolfe, Director of Disability Services at Boston University to discuss these recommendations and what is to come - On Wednesday, November 10 at 12 noon Eastern.
