A couple of weeks back as I was packing up from my Tuesday night class, one of the graduate students was fumbling around with a small black piece of electronics. 

“I don’t get this thing,” She said to a fellow classmate and colleague.

“Yeah, I don’t get it either. They are so confusing.” She had found confirmation, and some bias from her classmate. 

The Generation Z graduate students were trying to make a circa 1992 beeper act like a 2023 iPhone. “I just want it to have a back light and adjust the volume,” and then she saw me smirking, “Oh, wait, you’ll know how to work this.”
