“Long Covid” is here and we need to be prepared to address student needs. Our disability and accessibility services staff will be the front line for accommodations and some students who are in the grips of the “Long Covid” symptoms may not know what they are struggling with without outside intervention. There are students who have never sought out accommodations at any point in their education, and these students as well as their parents/families will need guidance on how to engage accommodations, especially during a time where misdiagnosis or lack of diagnosis for a malady that is still so new to medical professionals.
