First in Summer Recommendations for Reading and Listening

This summer I’ve been spending a few days a week pool side in an ‘urban oasis’ in the West End of Boston sandwiched between the Charles River, the O’Brien Highway, The MBTA D-Line and Mass General Hospital (the helipad is pretty active on some days). It may not sound like much of an oasis, but I love it. It has allowed me to gobble up more reading and reflecting than I do on the regular, and for me, a city gal who is far too busy for much of the R&R, I love it. here are some of my recommendations from the first few weeks of the summer:
