With College Campuses on the path of the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse deciding to close during the festivities and the State of Texas calling some sort of state of emergency … I was thinking about the inevitable emails from well meaning Moms to their children in the days preceding this event.

Hey Kiddo: 

Well, the big day is almost here - the solar eclipse that everyone's been yapping about. As if I don't have enough to worry about with your father's golf game and your Nana’s dating life (did she tell you she’s on Hinge?), now I have to make sure you don't go blind staring at the sun. Honestly, I wouldn’t be harping on this if there wasn’t that Halloween costume incident in 2019 that we are still paying for.
