It’s Commencement season!!
End of year on campus is my favorite time. My first job out of college was at the Boston University Athletic Department with my office in a building adjacent to the athletic field where the main commencement ceremony is held each year. In the days leading up to the grand event I was touring the field with a co-worker and speaking to the Associate Vice President for Facilities who was overseeing the preparations. He gave us a word of warning, “Don’t stand still for more than 30 seconds. Because if you do, one of my crew will paint you or cover you in mulch.” Wise words.
