A friend and I were speaking this week about transition - specifically unplanned transition. You see, they are going to be leaving their job and the toxic work environment that they find themselves in. While you would think that they would be looking forward to the change. They weren’t. Rather, they were disappointed. Disappointed that their workplace had not done more to make strides to become a healthier place to work, and disappointed that by leaving, they themselves had to find a new path forward seeking out an employer who would provide financial stability, a mission-driven workplace and an environment where this individual would be seen as a contributor to the organizational culture.
