Summer Schedule
The Friday (and summertime) Log-Off
Every summer, I remind my loyal subscribers that content shifts to a week-to-week, “game day” execution model. While my summer months are more flexible, they’re also less predictable, and I (kind of) like it that way. It also means I want to take full advantage of this season as a time to both renew and lock in on new opportunities.
I’ll be using the summer to finally get into the sandbox with a few of Substack’s newer features that have been sitting in my task-related parking lot because I haven’t had the bandwidth to deal with change… or new things… here.
I’ll also be revisiting some of the top posts from the past academic year. By curating the work that has resonated most and continues to feel relevant as institutions navigate complexity, constraint, and change, I hope this creates an easy entry point for both new and longtime subscribers to dive deeper into the issues that still matter most.
With that, I’m sharing the #3 most-read post, which dives into Syracuse University’s decision to sunset 90+ academic programs. And now, it’s time to enjoy some sunshine.
