Summertime distractions of Politics, college closures, politics, raising a teenager who doesn’t feel an urgency to get a driver’s license, politics, JLo’s personal life, oh and politics are plentiful. For that reason, I am choosing to use the summer to write about people in my life … specifically People On My Campus. To use a Mr. Roger’s theme here, there have been a great deal of People in my Campus Neighborhood over my decades in #HigherEd and I want to begin to document some of them.
Last year, I introduced readers to Donna, my former administrative assistant and the response to that post was not only quite positive, it also resulted in personal reflection on how if I were casting my life as a television show, many of these individuals would be regular supporting characters. Not because they were funny, or quirky or affable, but because they were genuine and consistently them. They were also people who always showed up for the students and the campus. So, here goes, the first in the summer series, “People on My Campus”. Today, we learn about Stacy, the “Swipe Lady”.
