This week I, like many of you, watched the Presidential Debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President, Donald Trump. I went to my friend Barbara's home for a small gathering of dialed-in friends along with a curated menu. Barbara’s brand is curated menus. As she said in her Facebook post after the event:
“Kama” has two meanings in Greek. One is the rudder of a ship and the other is the shaft of a spear. Either one is perfect!” So for our debate watch we had Greek food and wine: Spanakopita with Tsatsiki sauce, Greek Salad, Chickpeas, Olives, Baklava. My niece, Art History Prof, wrote her dissertation by translating Greek into English - she is wicked smart- and she came up with this idea for a recent dinner party she hosted. I promised that I would give her full credit: “All food suggestions and themes were supplied by my favorite niece, Dr. Smith.”
I have very cool friends.
