March is Presidential Leadership Month
With Guest: Dr. Stacy Klippenstein
During the month of March we will be focusing on the presidency and chancellor roles. There has been a great deal of discussion about how difficult the job of college president is. How lonely it may feel, and how Presidents and Chancellors find themselves in a no-win situation especially during times of public disagreement and dissonance. I wanted to ask one of my favorite campus leaders to come on the show and speak to his experiences leading a large public community college, especially in this time of decaying public trust in Higher Education. Dr. Stacy Klippenstein is the president of Mohave Community College in Arizona. The college has four campuses that are scattered across the state. Dr. Klippenstein has a very specific viewpoint as to the value of and role of community college education that I believe is transferable to anyone in higher education leadership. I hope you enjoy this episode and my friend, Stacy.
