February is Black History Month, and throughout this month, Colleges and Universities across the US put forth a variety of programs to pay tribute to Black community members past and present, highlight Black scholarship and shine a spotlight on Black performing and visual arts. Black History Month programs are featured on campus calendars, and it is typical that messages of unity, understanding and pride are disseminated from the highest offices on campus.
