Join Dr. De Veau for Mini-Podcast Episodes: Shaping the Future of Higher Education
Last year, I had the pleasure of recording 12 mini-podcast episodes at the NASPA Region 1 conference. The response was phenomenal, and I thoroughly enjoyed featuring both longtime colleagues and newer connections from my network.
These episodes centered on candid conversations about the future of the student affairs profession. What made them special was their organic nature and the minimal preparation required. My guests came ready to share their insights, and I was there to listen and engage. It was a perfect setup!
Now, I'm excited to announce that I'm recruiting potential guests for mini-episodes slated for spring 2025. Here's what you need to know:
All you need is a computer with a camera and microphone
You're welcome to bring a plus-one if you'd like
As a thank you, guests receive a 6-month free full paid subscription to this Substack
Current paid subscribers will have their subscription extended by 6 months post-expiration
If you're passionate about student affairs and have thoughts to share, I'd love to hear from you. Let's continue these important conversations and shape the future of our profession together.

Here’s a sample …
This first mini-episode is with Dr. Rich DeCapua and Brian Quinlan. Rich and Brian are like peas and carrots. They have been around a long time, and they can basically complete each others sentences. But they also have a long history with NASPA, the profession and the regional conferences. Both have held leadership roles within the organization and have had a hand in implementing these events. They are well aware of the importance of the conferences as a way to provide Student Affairs professionals, both new, mid-level and well seasoned with opportunities for learning, growth and mentorship. I hope you enjoy this first of 11 mini-episodes of “SA Pros on the Road.”
