From Case to Campus:
Teaching With The Maplewood College Compendium
An Invitation For My Readers!
On Wednesday, July 1 at 12:00 p.m. (ET), I’m hosting a live, faculty-focused session on teaching with The Maplewood College Compendium.
As the book’s author, I’ve watched Maplewood’s fully realized (fictional) campus come alive in Student Affairs, Field Study, and Student Development courses in HESA programs and related curricula. This session is designed for faculty who want to use the compendium to deepen practice-based learning, invite students into complex decision-making, and connect theory to the messy realities of campus life.
It is also useful for those Student Affairs and Higher Ed Administration leaders who are seeking new ways to elevate their ongoing staff training and development opportunities.
During our time together, I’ll share:
Concrete strategies for integrating Maplewood into course and workshop design
Sample assignments and discussion prompts you can adapt
Facilitation approaches that help students “live in” the case over a term
This is an opportunity to see how Maplewood can function as a living laboratory for leadership, ethics, and organizational strategy—and to leave with ideas you can plug into your courses right away.
The session is free, and participants will receive a discount on purchasing the book for themselves and their students.
