A Wish List from a Higher Ed Leader

Dear Santa,

I realize I haven’t written in a while, but I find myself reflecting on the year gone by and the unique challenges we face in U.S. higher education. And, while I know you’re busy filling your sack with Squishmallows, I thought I might throw some ideas at you for all the well behaved HigherEd leaders.

1. More Funding. First on my list is a generous boost in funding for both public and private institutions. The resources are needed to honor living wages to employees, enhance research capabilities as well as heightening student services. I wish for funds that could be well used to heighten institutional effectiveness.
