A Reflection on NASPA 2022

It’s not 2019 anymore. Not in our lives. Not in our leisure. Not in our conferencing. I knew this going into my first large professional conference in over three years, but I didn’t know how incredibly emotional NASPA 2022 would actually be for me. In the weeks to come, I will be using my podcast, “Office Hours with Dr. De Veau” to be a space where we break down the conference itself, the experience, the ‘future of student affairs’, because those conversations are necessary. But, for the purposes of this newsletter, this is all about my own reaction and response to diving off the end of the pier into the in-person conference ocean.
